Clinical Opportunities

AMOpportunities is excited to present an exclusive opportunity for students to participate in two-week U.S. clinical training experiences coinciding with AMSA’s 2024 Future Physicians for Change conference that is taking place May 30 to June 1. These experiences are tailored to enrich students’ medical education through practical, preceptor-led training across diverse healthcare settings and specialties.

Program Dates
Block 1: May 13–May 24
Block 2: June 3–June 14
The price for each block is $1500

Program Sites
AMO will provide students with a specialty and location that best aligns with their preferences. Options will include core-specialty and subspecialty rotations in a variety of locations including New York, New Jersey, Florida, Texas, Illinois, and California, among others.

What to Expect
Comprehensive Healthcare Exposure: Exposure to various aspects of patient care, including history taking, assessment, and understanding of healthcare policies, ensuring a well-rounded training experience.

Enhanced Clinical Reasoning Skills: Preceptor to emphasize on applying clinical reasoning in real world scenarios to formulate differential diagnoses and make evidence-based decisions.

• Malpractice insurance included for all participants at no cost ($200 value)
• AMO legal guidance and support on the visa process, including personalized support as needed from AMO’s in-house attorney
• Low preceptor-to-student ratios to ensure personalized learning experiences
• Certificate of completion is provided to all participants
• Opportunity to earn medical elective credits if approved by home school (AMO to support)
