What if a medical conference didn’t just fill your schedule, but fueled your purpose?
Future Physicians for Change (FP4C) isn’t your typical conference. It’s where future doctors, dreamers, and disruptors gather to reimagine the future of medicine from the inside out. Hosted by the American Medical Student Association (AMSA), FP4C is a space where advocacy meets education, where students become leaders, and where community becomes the catalyst for transformation.
Built on a Legacy of Change
Since its founding, AMSA has championed progressive change in medicine. FP4C is the living, breathing embodiment of that mission. It’s a convergence of future physicians who aren’t just preparing for Step exams, they’re preparing to step up for their patients, their communities, and themselves.
Each year, this multi-day event brings together medical students, premeds, allies, and advocates for interactive workshops, powerhouse keynotes, advocacy actions, cultural celebrations, and once-in-a-lifetime networking moments.
FP4C isn’t about passively absorbing information, it’s about participating in a movement.
What Sets FP4C Apart?
- Bold Conversations. We go beyond the standard clinical content to tackle issues like racism in medicine, reproductive justice, and climate health.
- Hands-on Advocacy. Whether you’re joining Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill or connecting with grassroots leaders, your voice gets heard.
- Student-Led Energy. FP4C is created for students, by students, which means you’re in the driver’s seat, not in the back row.
- Community That Sticks. Attendees say the connections they make at FP4C last far beyond the weekend. In fact, many find mentors, collaborators, and lifelong friends.
The 2026 Vibe: Even Bigger. Even Bolder.
This year’s event is leveling up. We’re bringing back favorites like the Sim Challenge, poster sessions, and National Awards, but also introducing new experiences designed to make FP4C more interactive, more inclusive, and more unforgettable.
