The first of its kind, this exciting initiative is designed to support and showcase innovative digital health technologies developed by future physicians. We’re shining a light on students who have created real-world solutions—functional tools, applications, platforms, or products that expand access to quality healthcare through digital innovation.
How it works:
- Call for entries: We open applications to student innovators, with an invitation to apply to pitch.
- Lightning pitches: 12 semifinalists are invited to pitch their solutions to our panel of healthcare, VC, and tech experts at FP4C.
- Finalist presentations: The finalists participate in live presentations at AMSA’s Annual Conference to compete for the grand prize.
- This is where you come in: Join us to watch it all come together and be inspired.
Technology belongs in the hands of those who understand patient care best. With AMSA’s Innovation Festival, we see a national sample of the talent and innovation from emerging physician student leaders. This allows us to bridge the gap between possibility and real-world impact.

Call for Submissions!
The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) is holding a Digital Health Innovation Festival 2026, which is a part of AMSA Future Physician For Change (FP4C) Conference. This event is meant for pre-medical students and medical students (including international medical graduates) to showcase their innovations. The Call for Submissions is now open! Student competitors can engage in a series of pre-event virtual programs and the programming culminates into an in-person competition at the AMSA FP4C, Washington D.C., Dec 10-12, 2026. Students innovators gain plenty via networking, mentorship, keynote sessions, industry engagement and the competition!
