AMSA appreciates your interest and welcomes your programming abstract submissions for consideration. All program abstracts must be submitted via our PheedLoop event platform. Programming will be considered in two rounds. The first round ends June 1 and the second round ends July 1.
The schedule for AMSA’s Future Physicians for Change (FP4C) event has a limited number of potential time slots for presentations or workshops of various types. Sessions at the event will be in at least one track: Advocacy, Policy, and Organizing for Change; Professional Development and Leadership; or Wellness and Humanism in Medicine.
AMSA programming generally includes topics such as advocacy, career and professional skills development, issues in public and international health, professionalism, wellness, and more. Some topics will be accepted for presentation to clinical and pre-clinical medical students, others for premedical students, and some for combined audiences. During the submission process, you will be asked to identify your proposed target audience.
Generally, the submission process is simplest if completed by the proposed speaker themselves. If you are submitting a potential program for which you are not the speaker, please also make certain you have:
- confirmed the proposed speaker’s interest in participating.
- confirmed the speaker’s availability for the dates of FP4C 2026.
- explained to the speaker that this is a competitive process, and submission of an abstract does not guarantee the presentation will be accepted for FP4C 2026.
Please make certain all required fields are completed. You can save your work and return to complete the submission later up until the submission deadline. If you have any questions, please reach out to events@amsa.org.
Review Process
Proposals will be evaluated on a rolling basis within each round based on the following criteria:
- Ability to expand attendees’ knowledge and skills beyond traditional curriculum
- Relevance to AMSA’s strategic mission and aspirations
- Originality of presentation
- Broad distribution of program topics and session formats
AMSA does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, gender, age, national/ethnic origin, marital status, sexual orientation or physical disability.
Selection Notification and Speaker Invitations
AMSA will email all first-round submitters no later than June 15 as to whether or not their program has been selected. Second-round submitters will be notified no later than July 15. (Notification may come earlier in some cases.)
The FP4C 2026 schedule has a limited number of potential time slots. If your abstract is not selected for FP4C 2026, AMSA may extend an invitation to present at another conference, during a webinar, or through another medium.
Once programming has been selected, the AMSA staff will send a formal invitation to the speaker. Speakers will be asked to enter into a speaker agreement with AMSA. Speakers who do not comply by given deadlines are subject to removal from the FP4C 2026 program. Speakers are asked to participate on a gratis basis. AMSA reserves the right to request or make last-minute changes to any program.
